Gujarat is a state in India, famous for textile mills, diamond industries, and a statue of Unity at Kevadia near Rajpipla, Bharuch, not far from Vadodara, Surat, and Ahmedabad Airports. The nearest Railway Stations are Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad. Gandhinagar is the capital city of the State of Gujarat which has a very good planned infrastructure. Gujarat is well connected with modern transportation facilities like Railways, Airports, Bus Stations all around the Gujarat State. Gujarat has a lot of specialties other than its booming industrial market and textile markets over and above diamond market has grown and sprawl its wings to reach each corner of the world. The main crops are wheat and rice therefore, the usually used lunch and dinner is based on these crops. Dal curry is the favorite stew for the Gujarat families. All vegetables are easily available and the vegetables available here are normally cabbage, ladyfinger, tomato, potato, onion, cauliflower, soybean, green piece, chana, zink are some of the vegetables available in the market. There are plenty of vegetable markets here because the non-veg items are very rarely used by the original families of Gujarat. There may be exceptions when comparing the food habits of other people who are not permanent residents and has the habit of using non-veg items.

In the Independence movement of India to get rid of the British administration, there were many important personalities like Mahatma- Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel are some of the eminent persons of Gujarat origin.

Gujarat has a plain and beautiful landscape, therefore, agriculture is also developed here. The land and soil is of clay type and this type of soil is very suitable for farming. There are many fertilizer Companies established here due to the easy marketing of fertilizers to the farming community. Gujarat has been renowned as a versatile industrial hub of Northern India. Gujarat is famous for silk and sarees and churidars and other dress materials. Ahmedabad and Surat are famous for Textile business on the other hand Rajkot is famous for making machine tools and types of machinery used for various purposes. Gujarat has a large number of Industries spread across main Industries are Reliance in Jamnagar, L&T, Birla Cellulose, Cement Industries, Fertilizers Industries like IFFCO, KRIBHCO, GSFC, GNFC are the main players in fertilizer and agriculture production.
Gujarat have well-developed road and railway stations which was a major concern in the previous decades for travelers. Now the situation has changed a lot and the tourist destinations in India situated in Gujarat have a good number of visitors.
The landscape of Gujarat is very suitable for Industries, also the manpower was very cheap when these industries arose. Also, many crops are also produced here like sugar cane(ganna), wheat, rice, and other food grains are abundantly cultivated here. Kesar, Apus, Mangoes are the famous category of Mangoes own for Gujarat. There are many sugar mills in the State. The State also has many Wind Mills producing energy.
CELEBRATIONS :
Gujarat' public in Hindu religion celebrate various celebrations like Kite Day in January, Holika Dafan and Rang Holi played with attractive colours and a tasty feast thereafter, Ganeshotsav -Lord Ganesh festival for 9 days in September or August, Navaratri celebrations 9 days in the month of September or October, Diwali festival, Bhaiduj and Gujarati New Year in October or in November. Christmas and New Year celebration on 25th December and 31st December respectively.
Dams in Gujarat:
The famous dams like Narmada Sardar Sarovar dam(height-163 mtrs.-River-Narmada), Ukkai Dams(height-80 meters-Tapti River), Kadana Dam(Mahi River), Dantiwada Dam(Banas River- Banaskantha District), Kamleshwar Dam(Junagadh district) located inside the Gir Forest National Park, are situated in Gujarat.
Places of Interest - Travel Destinations of Gujarat :
