The Bekal fort is situated on the shores of Arabian Sea. This is around 6 kms from Kanhangad and
Kasaragod Town. The Bekal fort is one of
the latest tourist destinations in Kerala.
The fort is very old but the name and fame came in the recent
years. Kerala Government is trying hard
to keep more and more attractive places to its map of tourist
destinations. The view from the fort to
the Beach side is very attractive, the place is very calm and quiet and
illustrates a marvelous view. The
nearest Railway Station is Kasaragod Railway Station and Kanhangad Railway
Station is also nearby and the nearest Airport is ‘Kannur’ and ‘Mangalore’
Airports respectively.
CHANDRA GIRI FORT
Chandra Giri Fort situated on the Banks of Chandragiri River
situated at a distance of 6 kms from Kasaragod.
The river Chandragiri was earlier the border of Kolathunadu and
Thulunadu. The fort is now in the sad state of ruins and is under the care of
Kerala Archeological Department.

Temple, Kasaragod
Anandpura Temple is on the way to Mangalore, the temple
stands on the lake, the idol sanctum Santorum was made with 18 medicinal
material kalu sharkara yoga, later it was replaced with panchaloha material in
1972. The present idol is made of Panchaloha. The main deity here is Lord
Padmanabha. The nearest Railway Station
is Kasaragod Railway Station and the nearest Airport is ‘Kannur’ and
‘Mangalore’ Airports.
